Uganda
international cultural festival 2020 will showcase distinct cultures and it
will also involve dialogues on culture. It is scheduled to take place from 27th
March at Freedom city to 28th March at Kampala Serena Hotel.
Uganda is endowed with unique and diverse cultural heritage which makes it an
exceptional cultural safari destination in Africa. Its cultural heritage is
expressed in various forms ranging from arts, performances, languages,
indigenous knowledge systems of nature and environment, dances, music,
traditions, marriages and many more. It is a strong part of people’s lives,
social cohesion, self-esteem, values, loyalties among others.
Uganda’s
distinct cultural heritage are interlinked to one another and the boundaries of
ethnic cultures are fluid, they are not pure. Diversity in cultural heritage in
Uganda also plays a significant role in unifying the country so as to build
strong pillars of foundation for future generations and improving relationships
with one another which in a long run creates clear understanding of cultures
for unity and wealth creation.
Uganda
also features among the signatories to UNESCO Convention of safeguarding
intangible cultural heritage 2003. 2020 Uganda International Cultural festival
offers Ugandan community a great chance to showcase their unique local and
international cultures, corporate and informal plus traditional cultures under
the theme Uganda International Cultural Festival 2020. The fee ranges from
Uganda shillings 10000 for ordinary, 30000 shillings for VIP and table goes at
3000000 Uganda shillings.
