Queen Elizabeth National Park is in western Uganda and it is remarkably Uganda’s second largest national park with an area coverage of about 1978sq.kms. It is a popular Uganda safari destination, inhabiting four of the big five African game; the elephants, buffaloes, leopards, lions (including the tree climbing lions); over 620 bird species, hippos, crocodiles to mention but a few. Kasoga Community Experience is a community initiative on Lake George Ramsar site in Hamukungu fishing village, southwest of Kasenyi just at the extreme side of the park. This community experience involves experiencing way of life of the local residents in Kasoga Community. Kasoga Community Experience includes exploring the landing site to learn the fishing and preservation methods, traditional canoe making demonstration, canoeing, learn the history of Rubona and Irangara Islands. Day 1: Travel from Entebbe/Kampala to Queen Elizabeth National Park
Start your day with an early morning breakfast and later, meet the driver guide ready to set off on 5-6 hours’ drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park in Western Uganda. Your journey will start from Entebbe/Kampala via Masaka-Mbarara-Busenyi route. Along the way, you will make a stopover at Uganda Equator for relaxation, photo taking and at Igongo Cultural Center, you will have a traditional meal. Later, drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park while enjoying the best view of the tea and banana plantations. Arrive early enough then drive through the park while enjoying amazing sights at diverse wildlife species.

Day 2: Game drive along Kasenyi Plains and boat/launch cruise on Kazinga Channel
Enjoy your cup of tea or coffee and after, embark on morning game drive via Kasenyi Plains in the Northern side of Queen Elizabeth National Park. This will take you about 3-4 hours and you have a chance to see diverse savanna dwellers in this part of the park including African bush elephants, lions, antelopes, buffaloes, warthogs, birds and many more. You will drive back to the lodge to enjoy lunch after your exciting game viewing experience.

At 2:00pm, you have a launch cruise along Kazinga Channel which will also take you about 3-4 hours. While here, you have a chance to see hippos, crocodiles, water birds as well as elephants, buffaloes. After your thrilling water sport experience, get back to the lodge to relax, dine and spend a night.

Day 3: Whole day cultural experience at Kasoga Community
You will be served with breakfast and later, you have community walk in Kasoga village where you will take part in Kasoga Community Experience. This involves visiting the landing site and exploring more about the fishing preservation methods used by locals, traditional canoe making demonstration. In the afternoon, you will take part on a canoe ride to Irangara and Rubina Islands which also comes with exceptional view of scenic surrounding, wildlife among others.

Day 4: Drive back to Kampala/Entebbe

You will have game drive via Kasenyi Plains to look out for the wildlife species that you didn’t see the previous day and drive through Ishasha sector for you to catch a glimpse at the tree climbing lions.
